Description

One of the most neglected areas of the body in yoga practice is the base of the skull, where the back of the head meets the back of the neck. I call this area imaginatively the “third eye.” For many students, that “eye” is “shut tight” with tension, which has repercussions in the all along the spine and in the throat. This workshop will begin with some simple exercises not only for the “third eye,” but also for the “root” of the neck and the sacred bone/vestigial tail. Following this, we’ll put what we’ve learned from the exercises to work in a basic asana sequence.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels of students.
